Storm & Hurricane Damage Restoration in Miami

When a storm passes, the damage it leaves behind keeps working. Wind-driven rain gets into the roof and walls, standing water soaks into flooring and drywall, and without power the air conditioning stops — which in Miami means humidity does the rest. We handle the whole recovery: emergency board-up and tarping, water extraction, drying, and the repairs that follow.

Our Storm Damage Restoration Process

1

Emergency Call &  Dispatch

You reach a person, not an answering service. We take the details, tell you what to do to stay safe in the meantime, and get a crew moving.

2

 Damage Assessment & Documentation

We walk the property and record what we find — moisture readings, photographs, affected materials and rooms. This becomes the record your insurer will ask for, so it's done thoroughly before anything is moved or removed.

3

Emergency Board Up & Roof Tarping

Open roofs, broken windows and breached doors get secured so the next rain doesn't undo everything. This happens before any cleanup, because a property that's still open keeps taking on water.

4

Water Extraction & Debris Removal

Standing water is pumped and extracted, and storm debris, soaked carpet, ruined drywall and unsalvageable contents are cleared out.

5

Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Air movers and commercial dehumidifiers bring the structure back to normal moisture levels. We monitor readings daily rather than guessing — a floor can feel dry and still hold enough moisture to grow mold underneath.

6

Repairs & Reconstruction

Drywall, flooring, trim and the rest, putting the property back the way it was.

Why Homeowners Call Us After a Storm

Locally Owned & Operated Since 2006

AquaDry Plus has been under the same ownership since day one, serving Miami and South Florida through every hurricane season since 2006. A roofer closes the opening — that's necessary, and it isn't the same as drying a house. We do the extraction, the drying and the daily monitoring that keeps a repaired roof from turning into a mold problem. We're available 24/7 and work directly with your insurance provider through the claim.

Areas We Serve

AquaDry Plus responds to storm and hurricane damage across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties — from Homestead and the Keys up through Miami, Kendall, Doral, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Residential and commercial.

Does homeowners insurance cover hurricane damage?
Most Florida policies cover sudden storm damage, though flood damage is usually a separate policy. Coverage depends on your specific policy and what caused the damage. We document thoroughly from the first visit and work with your insurer through the claim.

How quickly can mold start after storm flooding?
It can begin within 24 to 48 hours, and Miami's humidity plus a house with no air conditioning makes it faster rather than slower. This is why drying matters as much as repairs.

My roof is already being repaired. Do I still need you?
Often, yes. A roofer closes the opening; that doesn't remove water already in the insulation, drywall and framing, or dry the structure back to a safe moisture level. Those are separate jobs.
